Building a computer setup doesn’t mean it’s all about the performance or the hardware of things. While the hardware seems to pack a punch, that power won’t mean a thing if the monitor can’t even provide a decent jab. To balance out things, the powerful hardware should be complemented by capable monitors displaying accurate color rendition, high contrast ratio, and if gaming permits, short response time. But if you’re a freak when it comes to multitasking, PC builder hawkiee552 just provided us the way you do multitasking in multiple monitors. By multiple, we don’t mean two or three, but six monitors shining hundreds and thousands of pixels right in your face.
Unofficially dubbed as the Ultimate Multitasking Monitor Setup, the desktop setup of hawkiee552 is something to be desired. But before we go to the main feat, let’s go through its hardware first. This computer setup doesn’t come with the latest and greatest from computer manufacturers, but rather key components that keep it running without any hiccups. Made for productivity with a bit of triple AAA gaming, the Intel Core i5-3470 3.6GHz Quad-Core leads the processing power. While the graphics prowess is handled by the GTX Titan X 12GB and GT 710 2GB – two key parts in displaying 6 monitors. The former being the main graphics performer while the latter being used for displaying three more monitors.
Perhaps the rare commodity that can be seen here is the 48TB NAS server that allows for the ultimate multitasking operation. Going to the main feat, from color accuracy to brightness and contrast ratio – it’s all consistent with the use of six Samsung S24F352H monitors. Setting up the monitors is a bit tricky, in order to keep all six of them steady and consistent to the eyes, hawkiee552 made use of two iigloo MS300 and an MS 410 stand. Of course, it won’t be complete without the added RGB lighting featuring three Philips Hue GU10 spots, three Philips Hue LED Strip+ and a Hue Go.
